The weather favorable' then for few days and the situation warm and pleasant. The ground is full of eggs and our c&ia hope i for a week or so of pleasant .weather l hatch them, followed by a heavy frost kich, we believe would kill them. Car cily Election, which comes off ihe first Monday in April, and the ida ,f drawing party lines, seems to worry l5ie nnterrified: considerable &Dd makes em squirm muchly. We hear of them falling fuch rcmsrliJ R! : "Its no use to mix politics in our city election, the best plan is to elect the best men." Now, that's just our proposition to a t. exactly i and we believe we have just the men in the Radical party to fill the bill, and intend to elect 'em, too. Wre remember very distinctly thejr style last year, when, af ter electing "the best men," through the aid recened from unsuspecting Radicals, they jubilated considerable over the elec tion of a majority cf Democrats. These Democrats have been very impartial, too; a Radical Marshall, Joshua Rc;rer, Laving been elected, the Council appoint ed a Conservative hepulj, without "the consent of the Marshall; when the city Charter Eays that ''with the consent cf the Common Council the Marshall may appoint one or more deputies, being re sponsible for the correct discharge of their duties."
