THE AUTOMATIC ORGANS.
In presenting the Automatic Organ, we boldly an
nounce tbe greatest triumph in musical instruments
of the age. During the past half century, the French
and -Germans have manufactured reed instruments
with eViuble "bellows, and twe-pedals forthe feet to
operate, bat the want of the reversed or Exhaustion
Bellows, (which Is the oaly bellows vsedinonr instin
merits), made it impossible for them to produce the
mellow, rich and musical tone for which our instra
n.ents are celebrated1. t , ' - ' -
. Another .chjection to this method of blowlnff was
thaw both feet being occupied, no opportunity was of
fered for tbe management cf the swell. With la the
past two years, instruments constructed a this Euro
pean pin or "double blos'ors," have been manufact
ured in this country, and to counteract this difficulty
(want of a swell) a lever has been projected from the
centred the Instrument, to act upon the swell, and
operated by the knee. The Inconvenience and contor
tion necessary to effect this object are disagreeable
ennugh to a gentleman, but to a lady the nse of such
an appendage .is nearly impossible.
Our Automatic device obviates this difficulty entire
ly, the simple act of blowing with more or less fores
giving the desired1 increase or decrease in the volume
of tone. - - -
For seventeen years the saperior excellence of our
Velodeous has not been questioned, and for two years
past the enormous demand has made It impossible for
us to meet our orders promptly. With our increased
facilities, we feel warranted in assnring our patrons
that their orders will be promptly met, and solicit a
continuance ot their patronace.

PERFECT IIAin DRESSING!
This admirable preparation is a most
efficient remedy for Baldness. It pre
vents the hair from falling off or turning
gray, and causes it to grow luxuriantly,
making it very soft, glossy and beautiful,
restoring it to its natural color. It also
frees the head from dandruff and Qures
all diseases of the scalp. A few appli
cations will convince the most skeptical ,
of the truth, of the above statements.

NOTICE."
THE MODEL SEWING 3IACHINE.
(Krom the New York Herald)
Prominent among tbe mechanical triumphs of this
mo.st ingenious axe. comuxjn honesty compels vt to no
tice the Empire Sewing Machine, cutunieinleU a jutiy
strley perfection itself Useful as have been tbe va
rious tewing machines, from time tu time presented
to "he public, each one of them has been earned with
some ralic 1 t'efect, which detracts from general util
ity. Warned by the experience of hi predecessors,
the inventor of tbo Erie Machine has produced an in
strument. Combining all the advantages for which
others are va-inted, and obviating every defect which
can be attributed tathera by tbe most fastidious critic.
Tbe Empire Machine is a marvelous combination of
simphciiy, econemy and perfect worksbip, being dura
ble, tree from iiahility ta get out ot order, nviseless
and easy uf operation. Its mechanical contrivance is
such as to secure stability, freedom rrom accident, nd
accuracy as to woi kiuaunbip. . By tbe use of the pat
ented shuttle and straight needle it makes a utitcb.
which can neither rip nor ravel while, at tbe r-aine
time, it can operate perfectly upon eveiy species of
material from leather to cambric, with threap of cot
ton, linen or silk from the Quest to the coareti num
ber. As the Empire Machine is gradually supplanting Its
more atitiqie rivals, no one in want of a userei instru
ment of this discretion, be he or she tai I-jt, ccach ma
ke, dressmaker or eamstress, can do othewii than
secure one of these econaiical and inimitable maohi"
suited alike for fa ml y and mannfa't uring purposes
The ofnee of the Empire Menur.cturing Co is at No.
