Questions in which are involved the future peace and prosperity of this Territory. For if secession sympathiz ers and refugee rebels from Missouri, and elsewhere are to control the poli tics of Nebraska. If they are to have control of our Territorial aud County i fiicers, then indeed will we be in a most deplorable condition. Every Unten man must see at a glance that if those out spoken rebels who carried the election irJ Otoe County by such a sweeping majori ty are to control cur future elections. That Union men, and the industrious so ber class of emigration from the East which adds so mutch to the material prosperity of a country will avoid cur Territory as they would a den of thieves. Many ct the men who assisted to con trol the late election in Nebraska City did not attempt disguise thT open and avied sympathy with treason and Rebellion. Colonels and Captains fresh from the rebel army, bushwhackers and desperadoes who boaste d of their abor rent profession, and who for years had been engaged in robbing and murdering Unim men and women in Missouri, gathered to the support cf ht was there deminated the Democratic lick et with all their foul and festering force. Durirg election day with swagering air aud drunken breath, they boasted upon every street corner of their vile and trea sonable intentions, many of them shout ed long and loud for Jeff. Davis, and gave uferance to vile imprecations and murder against prominent Union men. The result cf that Election and the manner and the persons ly whom it was conducted, should adminish and warn Union men everywhere of the danger that surrounds them, throwing aside ev ery little prejudice of the hour, they should unite in firm and..Eo'id array, o resist the dark and -treasonable schemes of the party which is banded together for their overthrow and distruction. To be forewarned is to fere-armed; let us therefore take head in time. To the Union men of Otoe County we say stand firm, and if the conflict should come to blows.the unionists of Nemaha will stand with yoa to the last. Coal In Kcmba Ccnnlf. Last week, Samuel Callen brought to our Office several specimens of Coal, found a short distance below the mouth of the Nemaha Itirer. The vein where it crop out is said to be .t inches in thickness ; We have no douni but what plenty of toal can be found ia this Coun ty, coal of a good quality, and in veins sufficiently thick to pay for working. All that is necessary is for some parson cf enterprise and cbility to engage in te search of coal and our word for it, it will be found,.aid the lucky finder of a good vein of coal will in a fewr year3 be rewarded by a fortune. The Nebraska City Press says that J. Sterling Morton called, publicly, at the polls, for Price's men to come forward and Lelp vote -down the blue coaled , brass-Luiloned Abolitionists."
