It will be build in th? business part of the city, and the first floor, rented for busi ness purposes. This will be a saving in stitution for the county. The contracts are all let, and the building is to be com pleted this season. We have received a ropy of th Fall City Broad Axe, resuscitated and beauti fied by J. S. D.ake. A better appointment c"li not have been made. Mr. Tipton La faithfully served his country on the field ever since the war brcl.o c:t, and is at present serving agtiir.it the Indians on our westira lord ier. Ht has richly merited this appointment though ;he . pcirMiienl is far below his merits. J There is a crazy woman now in our I , , ..r t . r i caiaoooae, limes &ua seems penect My fane, then again she seems crazy for a short, and if report say true, at times ht js really dangerous to let her run at large. Her name is Walters, and she h a relations living in this county. There is prevision made for the insane of this 1r ritory, atd we think-the ouht to receive the Lenefit of h aud not le locked up in oar cajaboose, whkhis only fit for crimi- nals anj drunkards. Since writting the above we have learned that she does not belong in lhi Territory, and, therefore, our authorities cannot send her to the asylum at the ex panse of the Ter;it0ry. llzr husband V residence is in Huh county, Mo., and tht bruie was here a week ago, carried of his children, and expressed his joy at getting rid of her she being in jail at the time. Now, she belongs not to this Territory, nor has she committed any ;rime for which she should be locked up in our calaboose, and we in common with a majority of our citizens demand that she be removed from our jail. Our Co Commissioners have taken the matter in hand very awkwardly, to say the least of it, by recognizing her as belonging to this Territory. Her insanity is of over two years duration, and she has not been iu the Territory over six months, and il Le Lad the could ram no residence a. tcr she became insane ; and yet our Count) Commisiouers have ordered the paymea of 810.00 a week for her keeping, when ?H5 would send her to hsr husband in Holt county, where she must be caretf for. This is very poor management to say the least of it. The person who now has charge ,cf her, at rurh exhorbitan. figures, must keep her out of the cala Douse, at Iea-t, and he can aiford to do it. And she must be sent home, as our Couniy wi'.i not stand a tas of S40 a tootuh to enre fcr the insane of Missouri. XA joke connected with this is that the nsauo perLuiihas been sane enough dtir ug the p?' week to do the washing for hefuniilyof her i erper. 1 Jit, J O .
