On motion the hoard went to the
county poor house and after-a careful
examination of the manner of conduct
ing tho same and the treatment of in
mates, find that John Sharp, the keeper
of the poor house, keeps the house in as
good condition as could be asked for and
that the treatment of inmates is humane
and satisfactory. -
The following claims were allowed on
the county general fund:

ing the bridge here daily. On last
Sunday and Sunday night live Luadred
cars were transferred heroin the twenty-four
hours, and ihe daily average
through the week will not fail below

Ihey are arriving and deporting at all
times, day and night. From this city
east to Crejton, the western division
of the C. B."& Q., fourteen to twenty
cars make up a train, wnicn will give
some idea of the number of truing re
quired there to move a freight train
eastward that crosses the bridge daily
at this city.
