The new South Bend bridge is now
completed, and is in daily use, trains
crossing with rock trails to Stout's
quarry from whence large shipments
are made to Omaha for paving work
in that city.

portion of Cass countiy's immense
corn crop will be fed instead of being
shipped to the markets.

by a home talent troupe who have
given much time in preparation.
An effort is being made to secure
Miss E. E. I'opDleton, of Omaha, to
conduct a class in this city in English
literature the coming winter months;

certain young man in this neighbor

long. On Thursday of last week the
wedding took place. The couple
proved to be. Mr. Frank Moore, of
Three Groves, and Miss Etta Patter
son, of Rock Creek; they were married
down at Union ami without any fur
ther preliminaries they started at once
for Plattsmoulh and took the evening

Kansas. The young couple that was
married a couple of weeks ago while
taking a wild-goose chase down to

Mr. J. G. Oldham has put up a tea
ament house easf.f his place, and Mr.
Joe Connelly.Mr Oldham's son-in-law,
has moved in and will winter there
this winter.
Mr. L. II. Young has had quite a
number of friends visiting the past
week, some folks from Colorado and a

Mr, Hartigau, a brother of lawyer
