Social Briefs Mia* Freddie Powell spent a few day a with her parental, the Rev. and Mra. R. H. Powell last week. She la expected home for Christmas day. Danny and George Smith mo tored from Hastings on Sunday to visit relatives and friends. The Nonpareils held a pre Christmas party on Saturday in the Urban League lounge. James McField of Kansas City, Kas., is president. Little Miss Patty Ann Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hurbert Jackson, celebrated her 5th birth day on Sunday, December 9th, with her Sabbath school class from Allon Chapel. Those at tending were Myrna and Annette Winston, Evelyn and Johnnie Napue, Lois Diana Shepherd and Sherron Ranee. Patty Ann re ceived many lovely gifts. The next two weeks will be busy ones for members at Quinn Chapel A.M.E. church. The Unit Leaders organization will have a party on Friday evening at the home of the president, Mrs. H. O. McField. ****On Sunday, De cember 23rd, at 8 p.m., the choir will give a program of special numbers and Christmas music. Verne Wilson is president.****The Sunday school will have its Christmas program and tree on Christmas Eve, December 24th at t p.m. Miss Frances Lewis is superintendent.* ***On Christmas morning at 6 aun., the 20-30 club will have a Christmas pageant en titled, "The Birth of Christ,” Mrs. Roberta Moldent president.*♦♦De cember 28th the First Ten club with the Rev. Melvin L. Shake speare as president will crown Mr. and Miss Quinn ChapeT at 8 pun. School segregation in Harrisburg came to an end recently when court testimony disclosed that Negro grade school pupils now are attending integrated schools nearest their home.
