They were house guests of Mrs. Lucille Bowman.**1'* Roscoe Wisner, of Dover, Del., June graduate of (Lincoln Uni) Oxford, Pa., accompanied bis mother and brother when they visited Mr. and Mrs. James Wil son in Lincoln the past week. Mr. Wisner is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and the Masonic lodge. ****Among Omaha visitors in the city Sun day were Grand Officers of the O.E.S., Mrs. Edith Wheatley, Mrs. Margaret Moore, Mrs. Josie Moore, Mrs. Viney Walker, Mrs.' Susie Jones and I. S. McPherson. Neb. Conf. Branch AME Missionary in Annual Meet Here The 29th annual meeting of the Nebraska Conference Branch Mis sionary Convention of. the African Methodist Episcopal church will convene at Quinn Chapel, August 2 with Mrs. Mary L. Kidd presid ing. The conference is composed of churches in the Kansas City, Omaha, and Atchinson Areas un der the supervision of Mrs. Ida E. Burch, Mrs. Frances Cloud and Mrs. Rubie Shakespeare. The two-day meeting will be highlighted by a sermon by the Rev. Miss Belva Spicer, pastor of North Platte-Scottsbluff Circuit and the annual address by the president, Mrs. Kidd. Among other special features will be a program and a reception Wednesday eve ning given by the entertaining church. Regular business sessions will be held daily. Bake in stem cake pan, in pan of boiling water in moderate oven until brown. About 40 minutes. SAUCE Melt butter, add 1 pound fresh mushrooms (sliced) saute, spinkle with flour. Add V2 milk; V2 cream (11-2 cups); cook until thickened. When done add 1 large can crab meat—do not cook, Nootsie’s Gingerbread % cup sugar Vi cup molasses V4 cup shortening 1 egf? 1 teaspoon soda 1 cup hot water X teaspoon nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and vanilla 1 Vi cups flour Mix in order except put soda in hot water. This will appear thin but it’s ok. Vegetable and Sausage Casserole 1 lb. small link sausage. 4 or 5 potatoes (quartered) 4 or 5 carrots (quartered* 2 medium sized onions 1 can tomato soup *4 cup water Place vegetables and link sau sages in casserole. Pour tomato soup and water over this mixture Bake in moderate oven (350°F.) for two hours, or until vegetables are tender. Serves 4. !
