There was a mid night show and several of our Teens were among the crowd which included the great couple Emmy Lou and Alvin, better known as Joyce Williams and Richard Holcomb. I asked Emmy Lou if the Wolf Man frightened her and she quickly replied, “No!!!!!!” I wonder could it be because of the fine, strong man she was with. I’m telling you it’s amazing. Others there were Fletcher Bell, Eugene Graham, Cecil Hatcher and Charles Finney. Glancing in another section, I saw Norma Dunn and Jeanne Ivory. * * * Cruising down R street Satur day evening was Susie May White Hall and Gerald Davis. It was so thoughtful of you to remember us. I find the desserts particularly delightful—all new to me and all delicious and I was in need of some fresh ideas! Mrs. Bruce sent up a clipping about it from the newspaper. So I see it is having the success it well deserves—Both for being a fine book and a very worthwhile cause. It’s a cause we’d like very much to contribute towaid, so will you take care of the en closed donation for us? Congratulations and all success to your book. Sincerely, Edythe C.
