We’re to gether again for another big I week of events. Let's start with Tuesday’s game between the In dependents and Fosters at Muny. I must say the Independents took their first down in the city this season. It was a very close game even to the end. with Fosters leading with a score of 5-4. The boys may challenge this team again if arrangements can be made. Friday nite the Independents journeyed to Cereseo, Nebr.,and they were again victorious. The opposition wasn't too strong but the wind over the diamond gave them some trouble. Some four [ carloads went down to the game so the boys had their local sup port behind them. They return ed with a winning score of 16-12. We had two accidents on the boys’ team this week and in the same family, too. First, Walter Bell returns from a game with a badly twisted ankle. Then on Friday night F*letcher Bell gets a terrible black eye by getting hit with a ball in the field. Let’s hope we don’t have any more of these things happening to the boys or we’ll need the medicine man. Let’s see what we can find for Wednesday. The R.R.M. Girls team played the Blackbirds on the Muny field. We all agree it was a good game altho the Blackbirds were the victors with a score of 8 to 0. Better luck on this next game, gals. “Let’s rent a bicycle” is the most popular phrase now. Have you noticed all the riders in the local neighborhood on these hot evenings? It’s a good way to catch the late breezes and it’s also good exercise. This is an inexpensive sport in which we can all take part. This must end here and now, so will say more next week. Till then, so long. QUALITY PHOTOS Lower Prices — Faster Service PHOTO NOOK 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays 1443 "O" Street Lincoln, Nebr.
