The guests were Misses Lois and Eleanor Giles, Ruth Morris, Maxine Nielsen, and Jane Boedeker. Miss Mildred Knofiicek was unable to attend. Entertains School Friend Stephen M. Davis has had as his guest for the -week end, Robert Shill ing of Massillon, Ohio, a former Bohool friend at Oberlin college. Mr. Shilling is en route to the west coast where he will attend the Uni versity of California. Sunday Mrs. Searl S. Davis entertained at dinner for her son and guest and joining the party were Floyd McCarty and Grant Howard, as well as the Davis family. Clark-Konfrst Wedding The revelation of the wedding of Miss Agnes Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Clark of Bellevue, Ne braska, and Mr. Frank Konfrst. Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Konfrst, Sr. of this city, was made known to the members of the family and friends. The young people were mar ried in Clarinda. Iowa a few weeks ago. Intentions of making their home in Omaha is being contem plated by the young bridal couple. Have Family Dinner Party The home of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Becker on high school hill was the scene of a very pleasant family din ner Sunday, the event bringing home all of the members of the family. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Becker of Chi cago arrived early Sunday morning to spend a short time here. Mr. and Mrs. William II. Schmidtmann and daughter, Janis and Mr. and Mrs. John Sattler, Jr., were also guests at the dinner. Announce Engagement Mrs. Catherine T. Flynn an nounced Sunday the engagement of her daughter. Miss Patricia Flynn to Richard A. Moran, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Moran of Omaha. The wedding will take place this fall. The Flynn family are former resi dents of Plattsmouth, but in the last several years they have made Omaha their home. During their residence here they lived in the residence now occupied by the William Brink fam ily. A son, Damian is a movie actor in Hollywood, California. Hold Family Eeunion The home of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Smith near this city, was the scene of a very pleasant gathering on- Sun day, the event being in compliment of Mrs. Maggie Gobelman, mother of Mrs. Smith. The event was in the nature of a family party with all of the good things possible to find on the farm. The afternoon was spent in visit ing and enjoying the opportunity of the visit with the mother. The ob servance of the twenty-fifth anni versary was held at the Covert home with a large group of the relatives and friend3 in attendance. Hudson. The occasion was held at the family home at 1019 Main street. The guests of honor, Mr. and Mrs. Hudson, were married on September 2, 1900. in Cummings, Kansas. Preceding the luncheon ice cream and cake the gifts that the guest of honor received were opened. v An evening dinner was served to the members of the family at 6 o'clock. Enjoy a Dancing Party One of the most pleasant social events of the younger social group of the city was the dancing party given by the girls of Bethel No. 24 of Job's Daughters, at the American Le gion building. The young people enjoyed the ex cellent musical program presented and to which several hours were en joyed by the group. The party was chaperoned by Judge and Mrs. A. II. Duxbury, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. SPEAKS BEFORE EOTAEY Observes Birthday at Geneva City Attorney and Mrs. J. Howard Davis and little daughter, Carol Ruth were at Geneva, Nebraska over the week end as well as over Labor day. Mr. Davis' birthday fell on Sunday and In honor of the occasion a family dinner party was held at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Davis. The Davis family returned home Tuesday morning. Honor New York Visitor Misses Mia and Barbara Gering entertained last evening at their lovely home on North Cth street for Mrs. Hamilton Thorn and daughters, Beverly and Betty and sons, Tom and Craig, who are here from Syracuse, New York, to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Dwyer, parents of Mrs. Thorn. The event was in the nature of a beefsteak roast, which was pre pared on the outdoor stoves and served most delightfully in the cool and charm of the lawn. The time was spent in visiting and renewing experiences in travel in many parts of the country which had been enjoyed by the visiting party. The party also enjoyed reviewing many of the leading schools and their vork in all parts of the country. In addition to Mrs. Thorn and hildren Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Dwyer, with Father Robert Reddenbaugh of Omaha and nephew of Bismark, North Dakota, were guests. Tuesday at the luncheon of the Plattsmouth Rotary club. Miss Gerda Peterson, who has Just recently re turned from an extensive tour of Europe, was the guest speaker. While Miss Peterson and her sister. Miss Alpha Peterson, visited a large num ber of the countries of the old world the talk of Miss Peterson was largely confined to her impressions of the Holy Land, they being there at the Easter season and also at the height of the troubles between the Arabs and Jews in Palestine, troubles that required the services of large bodies of British troops. The talk of Miss Peterson was very interesting and told of many of the exciting ex periences and the deep Impression that they had received In visiting the places of religious interest. Dr. H. G. McClusky was the leader of the meeting. VISIT RELATIVES HEBE Mr. and Mrs. William Epenberger of Lexington and Emil Eaumjrart of Crookston, Nebraska, were here for a short time to visit with the relatives and old time friends. They had the pleasure of meeting many of the old time associates and returned this morning to Omaha to visit with the mother of Mrs. Egenberrer and with the sisters who reside there.
