FILES DIVORCE ACTION
From MonOay's Pally
A suit for divorce was filed in
the district court today by Theodore
R. Eaker against Delia C. Baker. The
petition of the plaintiff states that
the partie3 were married at Salina,
Kansas, on January 27. 1920 and that
they have been residents of Cass
county since 1930. The plaintiff also
asks custody of a minor child, Theo
dore Baker, Jr. .
TO UNDERGO OBSERVATION
From Tuesday's. Daily
Fred W. Guenther was taken to
Omaha today where he entered the
Methodist hospital for observation
and treatment. Mr. Guenther has not
been well and it i3 hoped that he
may be helped by the hospitalization.
SHOWS IMPROVEMENT
Mrs. J. E. Leesley, who makes her
home with her son. Earl Leesley on
West Main street, is showing- slight
improvement following a severe at
tack that she suffered early Sunday
evening. Mrs. Leesley was forced to
remain bedfast and at her advanced
age makes her recovery a slow process.

B. I. Clements, one of the prom
inent residents of the west part of
Cass county, was here for a few
hours today to visit with old friends.
Mr. Clements accompanied his son,
V. G. Clements as far as Plattsmouth,
the son going on to Omaha ' to look
after some business.

The Junior Woman's club met last
evening at the Hotej Plattsmouth.
Mrs. Nadine Bradley of Omaha was
the guest . speaker. . JJer topic w as
"Historic Spots in Mexico." Her talk
was illustrated with slides.'' Mrs. R. C.
Shallenbarger sang a group of three
numbers. She was accompanied by
Mrs. L. S. Devoe. Mrs. Robert Rum
mel and Mrs. Kenneth Rchmitt ar
ranged for this fine program. A large
group of members and guests were
present. . -
The next meeting will be a social
meeting on May 22. This party will
be held at the hotel. Miss Marie
