FUNERAL OF FORMER RESIDENT From Tuesday's Daily Funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock at the Castle, Roper & Matthews chapel at Lincoln for J. J. Adams, GS, of Sheridan, Wyoming. Vern Hutchison, of the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph company at Lincoln, is in the city on a two weeks vacation visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. II. J. Smith, of Bell wocd, Nebraska, and Miss Eva Smith of Otoe, were here Sunday to visit their son and brother. Attorney Wal ter II. Smith and other friends. Mrs. W. J. II. Tetter and little daughter, who have been here visit ing at the home of Mrs, Tetter's par ents. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Tritsch, departed today for their home at Greenville, Texas. From Tuesday's Dally Keith Stinger of Omaha was a week-end guest of Miss Mina An drews at the home of her grand mother here. Mr. and Mrs. Miles Reazer and thildren of Glenwood. spent the week-end with Mrs. Reazer's mother, Mrs. S. E. Kerr. George Teters of Avoca was among the visitors in the city today to at tend to some matters of business and calling on friends. Miss Helen Tavelka of Omaha, has returned home after a visit here over the week-end as a guest at the Wil liam O'Donnell home. August Tautsch, prominent resi dent of Louisville, was among the visitors in the city today to attend to some matters of business. From Wednesday's Dally Elli3 Friend of Omaha was a visi tor in Plattsmouth yesterday. Mrs. Roy Avis of Council Bluffs, Iowa is visiting In town with friends end relatives. Mrs. W. E. Kocian of Omaha is spending a few days in, Plattsmouth visiting with relatives and friends. Mr. Adams was married in tnis city to Mrs. Florence Waddick who survives his passing as well as three children bv a former marriage and two step daughters. The burial was at Wyuka cemetery vices from this city were Mr. ana Airs. L. W. Egenberger and Robert M. Walling. VISITS SCHOOL FRIEND Miss Chloe C. Baldridge, of the state superintendent's office, is in Washington where she is attending a meeting ui leaciieia num states to take up important prob lems of teaching. - En route east Miss Baldridge stop ped here for a visit with Miss Alpha C. Peterson, county superintendent of schools, and an old friend and associate in school work. SHOW EXCELLENT WORK The members of the 4-H clubs that represented Cass county at the Ne braska state fair at Lincoln, return ing with many very high honors are deserving of a great deal of praise for their earnest work that won them rewards in several lines. The winners of the prizes were here for the King Korn Karnival and gave demonstration of their work and which had won them the highest awards. SUFFERS INJURED ARM John L. Hadraba was Injured Tuesday at his work at the local shops when a small piece of steel penetrated the upper part of his left arm and inflicted a nasty wound. It was necessary to have the steel re moved at the hospital at Omaha and will make It necessary for Mr. Had raba to be on the retired list for several days. They' re Here!
