The time was spent in Ewimming that proved most enjoy able after the heat, while the line picnic supper also added to the Idfacuros of the day. FACffi sis From Friday DafiT Present Fine Program Mrs. J. K. Meisinger and Mrs. P. A. Meisinger entertained the St. Paul's Auxiliary yesterday at the church. A good number was in at tendance. A duet was given by Shir ley Peivcr and John Jacobs and a reading by Wilma Swatek. which were very much enjoyed. Delicious refreshments were served. Choir Has Picnic The Methodist choir he!u a picni: lat iiight at the L. S. Devoe home. There were thirty-five present, the members of the choir and their fam ilies. The group ate on the porch of the home at card tables. They played games and sang songs and all enjoyed the evening. The choir members were sorry Mr. Devoe had been called away and could not be with them. K. B. Card Club The K. 1$. card club met last night with Mrs. Frank Oobelman. Miss J Laura Meisinger won first prize. Mrs. j John Wolff won second and Mrs. ' Henry Schneider won the third prize. Mrs. K. A. Wurl was a guest of the club. Methodist Federation Meets The Methodist Federation met yes terday afternoon in the church. Mrs. K. W. Thimgan led the devotionals. Mrs. J. ('. Lowson gave the mission ary lesson. A short business session was held. K. H. Wcscott gave several piano solos and Mildred Hall sang a SjoIo The group then sang a number of songs, with Mr. Wescott accom panying them. Delicious refreshments were served. The Gleaner's circle, with Mrs. James Rishel as chairman, entertained the federation. Surprised on Anniversary A surprise party was given last night for Mr. and Mrs. Phil Leper t at their .'ountry home by a group of friends. The event, was in honor of their silver wedding anniversary, the couple having been married twenty five years. A mock wedding contributed to the entertainment of the evening. After a delightful lunch was served, the evening was spent in playing cards and visiting. The lunch was brought by those participating in the surprise. The beautiful cake was baked by Mrs. Joseph Hafka. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hafka and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krejci and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jaura and fam ily. From Saturday's Dally Surprise Party A surprise party was given Thurs day evening at the home of Mrs. drover Cundall for Miss Shirley Ma son. The evening was spent in play ing cards and dancing. Those attend ing were Leonard Holabeck, Ali:e Zatopek. Wilma Swatek, Margaret Ann Pits, Mary Helen Dill. Pill Lver3, Jackie Wetenkamp, joe York. Kdward Smith, Darlene Ilohiboik, Catherine Gresshans, 11 a y m o n d Smock. Shirley Mason. Ralph Mason, Grover Cundall and Grover Jr. Shower for Mrs. Bishop Miss Louise Rishel and Miss Mil elred Engelkemier were hostesses last night at a towel shower given for Mrs. Charles Bishop, nee Helen Al bert, at the home of Louise Rishel. The room was decorated with gold streamers and bouquets' of cut flow ers. A number of games were played and proved highly entertaining throughout the evening. Frizeswere won by Miss Viva Palmer and Miss Alberta Tiramas. The announcement. "Mr. and Mrs. Plshop at home after July 11. 1812 Capitol Ave., Omaha." was given on the sail of a ship constructed of bananas, ice cream, nuts and cher ries, served with cake and ade. They made very delightful and delicious refreshments. The gifts had been hidden, with clues as to where to find them. The bride, following the clues, found all the packages and opened them.
