Mrs. Donelan. They will go to Omaha
today to visit their son.
RECEIVES RADIO LICENSE
Randall Farris,- of Union, has re
ceived his amateur radio license from
the federal communications commis
sion at Washington, D. C. The call
letters assigned him were W9MYT.
His examination was passed by Earl i
Pittman of this city.

busily engaged Monday afternoon

plaints filed by the members of the

ers r various road rule regulations.
Floyd Wellen, of Unadilla. was in
court on a complaint charging fail
ure to stop at a stop sign and re
ceived a fine of $10 and costs.
Leonard Adams, trucker, was in
court on a charge of overloaded truck
mil drew a fine of $10 and costs on
two counts for the offense.
Alfred Petring of Nebraska City
was among the visitors charged with
failing to bring his car to a full stop
at a stop sign. He received $10 and
costs.
Donald Faulhaben was another
charged with failing to bring his car
to a full stop before entering a main
hisrhwav and also received a fine of
$10 and costs for the offense.
Major V. G. Utterback of Nebras

reckless driving as preferred by the
highway patrol and for which he re
ceived a $10 fin& and costs.
Complaint was filed against E. E.
Movers, of Louisville, for not having

from the Plattsmouth Recreation

Entertain Play Cast
Last night Mr. and Mrs. Clem "Wos-
ter entertained the members of the
cast and those who helpea witn tne
production of "The Rock," religious
drama presented Easter Sunday at
the Methodist church. The evening

was spent m playing Anagrams, in
which very fine prizes were awarded
to Mrs. J. Howard Davis, wno won
first among the ladies, and J. A.
CaDwell. first among the men. A love
ly gift was presented to Milo Price,
director of the play, by the cast. At
an appropriate hour, delicious re
freshments were served, with Mrs.
Heinrich assisting.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs.
William Heinrich, Mr. and Mrs. J. A.
Capwell, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Price and
son Jimmie, Alan White, Joe York,
Miss Sylvia Korbel, WTilbur Hall, Mrs.

C. D. of A. Meeting
The regular social meeting of the
Catholic Daughters of America was
held on Tuesday evening, April 26th,
at the home of Mrs. Frank Mullen.
The meeting was well attended
and the members enjoyed playing
several games of bridge and pinochle.
Mrs. Charles Petersen won the hig.i
bridge score and Mrs. Baltz Meisinger
won high in pinochle.

S. club was held at the home
Mrs. John J. Stones.
It was decided the club would be
discontinued as a project club but
continue as a social club. The fol

The World-Herald Sunday in their
sport section carried scenes from the
Thomas Jefferson high school track
meet. Among those shown were Allat
White and Warren Reed, local sprint
ers in some of the events. White wa? J
fifth in the running event. Joe York
was the Platter making the best
showing, getting third in the high
jump. In the running events Reed
suffered injury to a leg muscle that
kept him out of the other events.
