Among other business at its Octo
ber meetings the Board of County
Commissioners received reports of
fcc3 collected during the third quar
ter of 1937 by the various county
offices, as follows:

The Board also approved orders by
the County Judge renewing Mothers'
Pensions of Mrs. Maggie Herrington,
Mrs. Cleo Capper, Mrs. Anna Pitt
man, Mrs. Lucille Gaines, Mrs. Mary
McFarland, Marie Richards and Edna
A. Jones.
Seven applicants were considered
for janitor to fill the vacancy caused
by the resignation of Albert Willis,
and Miles M. Allen was elected by
the Board.
A list of SO names was selected by
the Board from which to draw the
jury for the November term of dis
trict court. From the SO, 24 names
have been drawn to serve in this
capacity.
The balance of the time was spent
in consideration and allowance of

Visited Ceresco Chapter
The O. E. S. kensington visited
the Ceresco chapter last Thursday.
There were nineteen members in the
sroup r.nd all spent an enjoyable
evening. The kensington will meet
Friday, November 19th. with Mrs.
Mary Fulmcr, Mrs. Belle Leesley as
sisting. '
Enjoyable Trip to Lincoln
The Legion sponsored a group of
21 boys to Lincoln last Saturday
night. They were entertained at the
l-II club building, where they en
joyed a boxing match and movie.
Hot dog:;, apples and cookies were
sorved. They went in Henry Meyers
