Eddie Craig kept the barber shop open till noon Labor day and in the afternoon he and his wife went to Cowles lake, where they enjoyed nshiag. Mr. and Mrs. August Wendt en tertained a number of friends at a farewell reception in honor of Miss Duretta and Elmer Schlaphof, who are leaving for Tuscon, Arizona, to pend a year for the benefit of her health. Miss Amanda Klemme went to Lincoln last week to enter the Lin coln General hospital and take- up nurse training. Her sister. Miss Minnie, is entering Wesleyan uni versity at Lincoln for her first year of study. Mr. and Mrs. Orris R. Lanning. whose marriage last week is chron icled elsewhere in this department, have been enjoying a honeymoon trip through the mountain country of Colorado. They are expected home some time this week. Tho bridesmaid-s were Lois Turn er, wearing pink; Elsie Knaun. in t green; Wilma Gerhard, in orchid, and Valda Gerhard in yellow. The drcsae3 which were made alike were r.et over matching colored taffeta. They were floor length, made redin gate styles, having seven flared pan el.? with a deeply shirred back panel. The blouses were shirtwaist style and had large puffed sleeves. They wore circular shoulder-length veils of net which were held in place with matching satin ribbon. They carried shirred muffs of net on which were small snravs Cif fern and . r. t , . , . Dean 1-anning. who acted as ring brarer. wore white trousers and a,nton aTtue- Mr- Boyer is an ex dart f r,at Tf .arriri tT, r?n- I perienced restaurant man and after a white satin pillow which wa3 trimmed with net matching the at tendants' dresses. Mrs. Arthur Bivens, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and wore a floor-length dress of blue net over matching taffeta. The paneled skirt was full and the waist waa also shirtwaist style similar to the bridesmaid-s' except that it was finished with tiny bows of moire ribbon to the waistline. The short puffed sleeves were caught by little bows. She also wore a veil like that of the bridesmaids and carried a muff. The bride wore a floor-length gown of white Point de Esprit. The redingate front was bound with white satin ribbon and was fastened to the waistline with clusters of tiny crystal buttons. The seven gored skirt joined the waist in a built-up waistline. The neckline was finished with a st&ndup pleated col lar. The puffed sleeves were also held with a cluster of crystal but tons. She wore a circular fingertip U-cgth veil which was bound with white satin ribbon aL.d held in place with ribbon which fell in streamers M - . . . . . . . fc MARR.IA&E. IS A TIE.
