help," strike pickets at the Strut
wear Knitting company stoned the
plant several hours after they had
injured four truck drivers and a de
puty U. S. marshal with brickbats.
Windows in the building were smash
ed and trucks being loaded were tar
gets for rocks as the vicinity teemed
with police and armored cars. Prior
to this outbreak John J. Farreil. U. S.
marshal said: going to
move these gooJs if v. 0 have to get
soldiers to do it. If any more of this
happens I will go into couit and get
a coutr order for soldiers."
With this warning, government
marshals, aided by the city police,
convoys, continued trucking mer
chandise and equipment from the
plant to freight depots for shipment
to St. Joseph, Mo.
