Phono th nw to Tv From Monday's Dally This morning at a: early hour, Charles Preston Sydebotham, long time resident of this city, passed away at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Stine, where he and Mrs. Sydebotham have made their home for some time. The deceased had not been in the best of health tor the past several months and gradually grew worse until death came to his relief. M,r. Sydebotham was a man uni versally respected and esteemed by all who had the pleasure of his ac acquaintance and for the greater part of his twenty-three years of residence in Plattsmcuth was employed in rail road work. He was retired several years ago and had since led a very quiet life at the home. He was born in Perry county, Ohio, February 22, 1856, at the time cf his death being aged seventy-nine years, two months and seven days. There is surviving the widow, Mary Sydebotham, three daughters, Mrs. J. H. Johnston, Courtland, Ne braska; Mrs. B. II. Swift, Portland, Oregon and Mrs. J. R. Stine of this city. The funeral will be in charge of the Horton funeral home and will be held at the First Christian church, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Mr. Sydebotham was long an active mem ber of the church.
