( Many Applications. W. M. Barclay of this city, chair man of the old age pension commis sion announces that a meeting of the commission will be held with the board of county commissioners on Thursday, December 6th. The commission which covers all parts of the county has a new mem ber, Charles T. Edwards of Elm wood, appointed to succeed the late Edward Carr. The applications for this fund are being made to the various members of the commission in the different sections of the county and Mr. Bar clay already has received 116 in his ! district and others in different sec tions also have had many applica tions. The county is divided in districts as follows, with the members to whom the applications should be made: V. M. Barclay Plattsmouth City and precinct, East Rock Bluffs, Eight Mile Grove. Lu O. Todd Liberty, Nehawka, West Rock Bluffs, Avoca. George Bucknell Elmwood, South Bend, Salt Creek. I C. T. Edwards Tipton, Stove Creek, Greenwood. Frank Woods Weeping Water city and precinct. Center, Louisville and Mt. Pleasant. The commission organized with Mr. Barclay as the chairman and Mr. Woods as the secretary. Those who contemplate making ap plications should do so as soon as possible before the commission meets to pass on the applications. The head tax of fifty cents which is levied on each person In the coun ty to provide tbe funds for the old age pension, has not produced the revenue that It had been hoped and the payments will be very small to the persons placed on the pension roll. In Iowa the tax is $2 a person and produces funds that make the payments something near adequate for the aged to lire upon and the present law in this state will prob ably be amended by the coming: sea sion of the legislature to increase the amount or provide other means of procuring the' funds. Her tulle veil in fingertip length, fell from a chaplet of waxen orange bios soms. Her flowers were white roses showered with lilies of the valley, and aranged with a few sprays of delphinium to give the necessary touch of blue to her costume. As the "something old" and "something borrowed" she- carried the Point de Venlse handkerchief which Miss El ma McBride had carried when she was the bride of Attorney George Bradley. Miss Stauffer was the sev enth fortunate bride to carry this exquisite handkerchief on her wed ding day. Mrs. George Bradley who was a bride of late February, was matron of honor and wore blossom pink taf feta with pink and silver slippers and a pink tricorne hat with silver veil. Her arm cluster of flowers was of yellow chrysanthemum and pink sweet peas. Hamilton Smith of Bal boa Island was Mr. Meisinger' best man. The Rev.
