RUNS HIGH McPherson, Kas. The Derby Oil company's new gusher on the Ack ley farm at Burrton, near here, tank ed 7.488 barrels in a twenty-four hour period ending at 9 o'clock Tues day morning, establishing itself, in the opinion of some oil observers, as the greatest Kansas producer since the Eldarado boom fifteen years ago. The producer is on the farm of Paul Ackley. and his mother, Mrs. Mary Ackley. Because of their un familiarity in dealing with lease buy ers, the Ackleys found they had sold all their royalty privileges before the oil was struck and will not profit further from the production.
