Just to prove he wasn't kid ding, he might have added the word "discreet." :o: THE WILD HOG PASSETH The wild razorback hog, for years one of the most striking bits of ani mal life in the state of Arkansas is apparently on the verge of ex tinction. Students at the University of Ar kansas, is plan to present a razor back to the understanding under graduate who is held to have done most of the university during the present school year. When they adopted this plan they figured that getting the porker would be that the razorback is by no means as common as least of their troubles. But r.ow they are finding he used to be. Accordingly, a bulletin from the university's news bureau says that the students are going to make a state-wide search for razorback. Time was when these wild hogs were so plentiful as to be a veritable rui sance but that time has passed. Arkansas is no longer a backwoods state. AUTOMOBILES AND PROSPERITY Ey the Census Bureau's latest com pilations, there are 26,607,300 auto motive vehicles in the world, of which 23,262,183 are in the contin ental United States or about SO per cent of the whole number. But this by no means proves that we mono polize the wealth and prosperity of the world to an equal extent, as President Coolidge and President elect Hoover might have the country believe. Relative to populations, the .figures read a little differently. For j while we have one motor vehicle for I every five persons, Canada and New Zealand have one for every ten, which puts them not so hopelessly far be hind us. And, what is especially 'wonderful, they have not been en- Joying the blessings of government by the Republican party. Ice cream, but ter, cheese, eggs, poultry, feed, farm products and supplies, and cold stor age. It shall have power and author ity to purchase, own, hold, lease or otherwise acquire real estate and per sonal property needed in connection with its business. The amount of capital 6tock la $20,000.00, in shares of par value of $100.00 per share, paid for before issue. No person shall own either directly or indirectly, more than 5 of the capital stock of said company. Each Individual stockholder shall have only one vote regardless of the number of shares owned. From the earnings of the company, over and above operating expenses, dividends not to exceed 8 per annum shall be paid on the certificates of stock out standing. The company shall set aside each year to a surplus fund, not less than 5 of the earnings or savings of the company over and above all expenses and dividends, until such surplus fund equals 20 of the paid-up cap ital stock. This surplus fund may be used for conducting the business of the corporation. The net earnings or savings of the company remaining af ter payment of expenses, dividends and surplus, shall be distributed on the following basis: Divided among the patrons of the company pro rata according to the business transacted on each individual class of business. Said corporation shall continue in business for a period of fifty years from September 8, 1928. The highest amount of indebted ness or liability to which said cor poration shall at any time subject It self shall not exceed two-thirds of the paid-up capital stock. The business of the corporation shall be conducted by a board of seven Directors elected by ballot by the stockholders at their annual meeting. The officers of the corporation shall be a President, Vice President, Secre tary and Treasurer, who shall be elected annually by and from the Board of Directors, and shall hold their offices for a period of one year.
