Mr. Keedy is at this time taking hi? vacation, vhich is for two weeks, and is now on his way to the west, where he will look after the harvest ing of some two hundred acres of wheat, whi"h he has there ard which is said to be of an excellent yield and quality. Hornbeck v.-as a visitor in Plattsmouth last Tuesday evening, where he was called to look after some business matters. The follow ing day. S. P. Li?. Homer Lawton, O. E. McDonald. Frank Melvin and John W . Kruger were also looking after som3 matters in the county seat as well. They found the county seat thriving and every one hapry. Lock for Better Conditions While things seem very Uiet in Mv.rdotk. as well as other towns like situated, things portend a bet ter condition. Just now things are not looking so bad in the building line, for there are three new houses under construe tion. they being Her man Leutchens, Gust Wendt and Gust Ruge. and all good houses. At the same tme Jer; Landholm is rebuild ing and makinar himself a very mod ern home in Murdock and II. R. Sihmidt is doing likewise with the old school bolide, from wlii'li is being erected two modern dwellings. With six better homes it looks like the present s'"isnn is a good one frr the town. Resides.-, thorp is an excellent wheat cre.p being harvested and this will make business conditions pick up. Let's all get behind Murdock end boost for her and help make this the the best little town in this part of state. Will Make Home in Lincoln W. F. Ilayive, a gel 61 year, a former resielent of this city some twenty years ago and who was the wife of "Luni" Haynie es he wps' better known.
