Foregle2ms of the New Day.
We have all noted the fart that ourg
is tlie luost wo:idirful day of earth's
l i-toiy. Our eyes open wide as we
i. ote tin- c-oiitrast. between the blessings
wfiiHi s irround us and thse enjoyed
by our fathers. Surely we are all
j,;,::i:,.d at what we see of progress iu
invention of labor-savin? machinery, of
e.'..;"!ti.i;ri! arrangements, of improve-in-Mit
in si " k breedin?. iu liortirulture,
ete. We relnn-t further that with the
progress 4f iineution the necessity of
arduous labor and sweat of face for
tlie daily bread will soon be at an end;
I'.ud the necessary leisure, conveniences
nnd comforts which will permit every
iiian to be a nobleman will soon be
available to ail.
What do these thinsjiean? Why
have they come suddenly upon us In
one ?ei:er:ition? yea. and jrive no indi
cation of slacking, but rather of pro
jires'sin? to still greater wonders!
What is the explanation of all this?
The I'.ible alone gives the reply to
these queries. It explains to us the
meaning of tlie reign of Sin and Death
which we and our forefathers have
shared, it tells us that our sorrows,
aches, pains, and weaknesses mental,
moral and physical are all the results
of sin of the sin which Father Adam
entailed upon us by the laws of heredi
ty for the six great Inys of a thousand
years each, already past.
Then to our astonishment the Ribl
opens the door of the future and bid.'
us look abroad and see the better Daj
which ;od promises. It explains thai
He has been giving us lessons respect
in? the exceeding sinfulness of sin. bin
that all the while He lias sympathized
with and loved His creatures, ft tell

That Day Has Corns.
Chronologically we are already ii
the great Seventh Day. or Thousand
year Sabbath; we are already fortj
ytars into that great Day. This fac
explains the blessings wnicn are ours
and w hich are coming to us increas-!
ingly. This progress will continue
throughout the great Thousand-year
Sabbath of Messiah's Kingdom. The
llible promises tint the Messianic
Jteign shall bring blessings to every
reaturo-not only to the living, ut to
the dead; for "all that are in the
graves shall hear the voice of the Son
of God and shall come forth." John
5:2S. 1"). It. V.
All must be given a full opportunity
to conn into harmony with the Crea
tor Jind to attain perfection and ever
lasting life. Only by personal, wilful,
intelligent sin can any one's blessing.9
be turned into the second curse of God.
the Second Death, from which there
will be iio redemption.
Incidentally let us note that the com
ing of those blessings is., in one sense,
premature, in that they have come to
us before the establishment of the
Messianic Kingdom. Consequently, in
stead of being happier tiecnuse of these
favors, the world is more unhappy.
more discontented, than ever. The!
Scriptures show that this discontent I
: 1 1 - . . . .f
win culminate in a snort, snarp penoo
of anarchy, from which the world wil"
be rescued by the establishment ol
Messiah's Kingdom.
The iK-rmission of the light nnd bless
ings of our day, in advance of Messi
ah's Itule, the Creator intends shall
teach humanity a great lesson respect
ing their own fallen condition and their
ned of the very help which God is pro- j
Tiding in Christ. None shall have the j
opjMn tunity of erroneously supposing I
that God's blessings, coming to unre
generate hearts, will make them thank
ful and happy. The new heart is nec
essary to real happiness.
We also incidentally see that if God
had sent or permitted the light of our
day w ith its blessings a thousand years
sooner, then the discontent of human
ity would have culminated in anarchy
a thousand j-enrs sooner and before
the Divinely arranged time for the es
tablishment of Messiah and His Hride.
the Church, in glory for the ruling,
blessing and uplifting of humanity.
Truth Discerned Aids Faith.
As we gradually come to realize that
we are living In the dawning of the
time for the long-promised blessing,
this Sabbath Day of earth, when the
curse shall roll away, it gives us a
fresh interest in all the affairs of the
present life, as well as in those fea
tures of the Divine Plan which are yet
future! The Knowledge makes life
worth living. Millions of people live
a treadmill existence, unworthy of
themselves and joyless, been use they
have not come Into the family of God
and have not been taught to under-'
stand the deep things of His gracious
purposes. J
The first step is an acknowledgment
of the Creator and a consecration of
life to Him. and then an application
of our hearts to know His .-i!l, murder
that we may do it. One dav of euch
living Is worth more than a year cf
th aimless nieaplrir common to th
masses. All who have, entered into
this blessing should rejoi'-e therein.
All who have not done so should seek
the loor. Christ, ami be ;rl.:tT t,, wait;
the narrow way. following His foot
steps into grace and peace Divine.
We may indeed rejoice in the less-en
In? of the sweat of fa e c oming to
mankind, in the dawning of this New
Day. We may indeed rejoice in tin
greater spread of knowledge to every
class. We may indeed rejoice in the
more comfortable housing, feeding and
clothing of our race. We may Indeed
praise the Day which is ushering in
these blessiugs and which. thro'.:?!i ir
rigation canals and artesian wells, s?-I
entitic study and teachers, bo'dis ml
newspapers, is making the wih'.e: t-ess
to blossom as the rose ri:d many
blades of grass to grow where one
alone grew previously, bringing in
creased fruitfulness. ISut much is ti:
be desired still much that we cannot
accomplish fur ourselves. We need an
outside influence, an outside power
the very one which the Word of God
declares is about to take control Mes
siah's Kingdom.
Our blessings thus far are not draw
ing the masses nearer to God not
making them more thankful, more
holy, more reverential, more loving.
On the contrary, we are becoming'
more strifefui. more self-willed, than
any previous generation less Inclined
as a world than ever before to worship
and reverence the God of all grace
less inclined to believe that there is
such a Reing at all. At the present
rate of growth of irreverence, it would !
seem as though the time might soon ;
come when no knee would bow and
o tongue confess, to the glory of God.
"As I Live, Saith the Lord."
But here wo look to God to see what
provision lie has made for present
conditions; and as we look, our hearts j
are cheered. We have the Divinely
solemn declaration that the full end of J
the reign of Sin ami Death has come. '
Ami we have outlined in God's Word ;
proofs that we are now living in the j
time when that new Reign of Kight- j
eousness shall be inaugurated. We j
have prayed for It with more or less I
of faith all our lives: "Thy Kingdom
come; Thy will be done on earth, even !
as it is done in Heaveu."
Permit not faith to let go her hold:
the Word of God cannot fail. As He
is bringing to us the temporal bless
ings promised in His Word and appro
priate to this time the New Dispensa
tion let us trust Him for every othei
feature of His promised blessing, lit
who has begun the good work is blc- j

The Prophet Isaiah declares that Je
luvah will do these things, and that
every knee shall bow to Him and ev
ery tongue confess. ( Isaiah 45:o.) St.
Paul applies this Scripture, and de
ciares that it will be l'ubilled through
Jesus, and incidentally it will be ful
filled by the Church through Jesus.
The thought is that Iu acknowledging
Christ and the Church and in bowing
to them, the world will be bowing to
Jehovah: for the Logos. Jesus, the
Jtedeemrr, forever will be the IJepre
sentalive of the Father and His Pow
er. Hence all men should honor the
Son even as they honor the Father
not honor the Son as the Father, but
as the Father's direct Pepresentative
Heir or all things. John o:''.; He
brews, 1:2.
The Elect Church Already Bows.
The elect Church of the present time
already bows the knee to Jesus as the
Representative of the Heavenly Fa
ther, ami already enjoys a great bless
ing through this special relationship
into which she has entered and which
is to be completed in her resurrection
change. Jesus, as the great King of
Glory, and His Pride class, as the
great CJuecn of Glory, will be distinct
ly separate from the world sharers of
an altogether different salvation.
These, begotten of the Holy Spirit, are
promised a participation in the Divine
nature, which i-; far above that of the
ai gels, the Apostle assures us.
For the same reason that God is In
visible to men, Christ and the Church
will be invisible, though all-powerful.
The blessings of human Restitution
that they will bring mankind will be
conveyed through earthly channels, of
whom Abraham. Isaac. Jacob and all
the Prophets and faithful ones of Is
rael will be leaders, or princes, as Goq
has declared. These shall not judge
by the hearing of the ear or by the
sight of the eye, but shall judge right
eous judgment. Isaiah llr.'l.
