Be it Enacted by the l'tople of the Staf
of Nebraska :
Section 1. That Section six (61 of Article
one (1) of the Constitution of the Stat
of Nebraska be amended to read as fol
lows :
Section . The rlpht of trial by jur
shall remain Inviolate: but In nil civil case
nnd in criminal cases less than felonies
five-sixths of the jury may render a ver
dict and the Legislature may authoriz
trial by a Jury of a less number than
twelve men in courts Inferior to the dls
trlct court.
See. 2. That at the general election for

of the State of Nebraska:
Section 1. That at the general election
for state and legislative offices, to be held
on the Tuesday tuceeedlng the first Mon
day in November. 1914, the following t
submitted as amendments to Sections 1 end
24. of Article V, of the Contltutlon ol

Sec. 1. The executive department shall
consist of a Governor, who shall hold hit
oflii e for a term of two years from the
first Thursday after the first Tuesday in
Junuary, next after his election, and until
his successor is elected and qualified, la

partment shall include the following offi
cers: Lieutenant Governor. Secretary of
State, Auditor of l'ublic Accounts. Treas
urer. Superintendent of Public Instruction.
