She was at tended by four bridesmaids, one maid of honor and a ring girl. The grot m was attended by one best man. All table decorations were pink and white each guest had been previously asked to' write three favorite reel pes, these were put together and presented to the bride-to-be. Saturday even Ing, J une 2, t he daugh ters and Mrs. M. D. Marquardt gave a handkerchief shower In honor of their cousin, Louise. All guests brought beautiful handkerchiefs and at the critical time threw them at the bride. A rive-course lunch was served, during which the guests were entertained by music from an orchestra. The favors were hearts, pierced by an arrow. Child Scalded to Death. A sad accident occurred last Friday morning about!) o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tague two miles west of Glcnwood. Mrs. Tague was washing and had stepped from the room a moment when their little 18-month-old boy, pulled the plug out of the washing machine and a quantity of iscalding hot water fell on the child.. - Dr. J. M. Donelan was summoned and although he reached there within .10 minutes the little one was beyond the help of medical skill. The child lingered till 4 o'clock Saturday after noon when It passed away. Glcnwood Tribune. Calf Born Without a Tall. W. C. Pace from west of Glenwood In Plaltcville township was In the Tribune otlice Wednesday and told us of a strange curiosity he has on his farm. It Is a heifer calf horn without the sign of a tall. It Is two weeks old and the absence of a caudle appendaK docs not appear to bother the calf, in the least. However, the. poor tiling will have troubles of Its own when the (lies and mosquitoes begin to bite.
