DEATH OF Ml OLD CITIZEN William M. Ilouseworth Dies From The Effects of a Stroke of Paralysis. William M. Ilouseworth an aued and most highly respected citizen died Tuesday morning, May Id, 1 '..". Last Sat urday morning he received ast roke of paralysis, from the effects of which he never regained consciousness. On Saturday morning he was apparently in his usual health, and at the noon hour hud partaken of a very hearty meal. In fact he was seen upon the streets in the earlier part of the day, and his death was a great and sudden shock to his relatives and those who knew him well. The funeral services wen held at the family residence at. 4 o'clock Tues day afternoon, Camm II. 15. Kurgess, assisted by IJev. .1 T v Baiid olliciating. The remains were taken to Lincoln yesterday, where they were hur ed with Masonic honors. The Masonic lodge of this city, of which the de ceased was a member, turned out in a body to attend the remains to the Iiurlington station, in reference to the deceased, the Lincoln Journal of yesterday says: 'William Mc. I). Ilouseworth for merly a resident of Lincoln, died at I'lattsmouth at 4 o'clock yesterday morning of paralysis, aged seventy four years. lie was stricken Saturday afternoon at one o'clock and remained unconscious until the end. The body will arrive in Lincoln today and the funeral will be direct from the Bur lington depot to Wyuka cemetery and will be under the auspices of the Ma sonic fraternity of which order he had been a member for over fifty years. "Street cars will be furnished at the Burlington depot for all friends who desire to attend. Kindly omit flowers. "Mr. Ilouseworth was born on a farm near Chillicothe, O., July 11, 18:U, where his boyhood days were spent. He removed from there to Burlington, Iowa, in 184"), where he learned the carpenter and joiners trade and became one of the pioneer contractors ana builders of that city. He was married to Miss Mary Ann Beebe at Burling ton, March 19, 1854, and six children blessed them. He came to Nebraska with his family in 1884 and settled at Plattsmouth where he did coach work in the Burlington shops. In 181X) he brought his family to Lincoln where he resided until 1901, again moving with his wife to Plattsmouth." Cleanse your system of all impurities this month. Now is the time to take Hollister's Rocky Mountain Tea. It w ill keep you well all summer. 3 cents, tea or tablets. Gering & Co. The Same Fellow. About six or seven weeks ago, a young man arrived in this city, from Missouri Valley, Iowa, looking for a man who gave his name as Burt Crook, alias Dr. Cronlett. The fellow a few days previous had hired a fine team and rubber-tired buggy of a liveryman at Missouri Valley, claiming to be a collector for some nursery. The day before he had used a rig from the barn and it did not seem good enough for him, so he was to pay fifty cents more a day for a handsomer team. He claimed to know a number of people in and around Plattsmouth, and when he did not return for several days, the liveryman sent a young man down to ascertain if he came here. On investi gation it was found that he had not been here, but from the description given, Sheriff McBride came to the conclusion that it answered that of a fellow that had been sent up from this county for a term of four years for hue stealing in 1901. While at the pen a few days since, Sheriff McBride secured a photograph of the party sent from this county at that time. This he sent to the liveryman at Missouri Valley and received word yesterday that it tilled the bill exactly, and was the thief that had so far escaped with one of his finest teams, worth perhaps in the neighborhood of $500.00. Crook, alias Cronlett's time expired last fall for the crime committed in this county. Strictly Genuine. Most of the patent medicine testi monials are probably genuine. The following notice recently appeared in the Atchison (Kan.) He says he had terrific pains in his stomach, and thought he had cancer. His druggist recommend ed Kodol and he says it cured him. He recommended it to others, who were also cured."
