Eig Production to Be Given
the Boyd Theatre at
Omaha.
For one week befrinninjr. Sunday
evening Feb. 21st Klaw & FrlUnger's
massive production of "The Round-up"
will be represented at the Boyd's
Theatre in Omaha, The original New
York caht and the entire production
will be seen here. This play was first
produced in Chicago, where it ran all
summer, after which it was taken to
the New Amsterdam Theatre in New
York for a limited engagement of four
months. At the expiration of the time
allotted at this famous playhoube, the
interest in the extraordinary play con
tinued so keen that it wa3 moved to the
Broadway Theatre, where it enjoyed a
most prosperous run of three more
months. Its tense story, astonishirg
novelty, wonderful realization of West
ern scenes and incidents, and the way
in which it is done, combine in a marvel
ous entertainment that holds the atten
tion of the auditor from the opening
scene until the final curtain is reached.
"The Round-Up" is a play with the
bigness of all outdoors. So adroitly is
it handled that it is about as untheatric
as a dramatic production well can be.
With its stirring scenes before him the
spectator loses sight of the fact that he

The great far West is magically trans
ferred to city doors and the blood is
set tingling with all one sees and hears.
The plains, the mountains and canyons
have an irrcsttible fascination for
every one, but there are comparatively
few with time enough to enjoy their

The Spokane Way.
Futornal societies in Spokane, includ
the Masons, Odd Fellows, Knights of
Pythias, Elks, Eagles, Red Men, For
esters, Woodmen and Maccabees, are
preparing petitions to be submitted to
Mayor C. Herbert Moore and members
of the city council, calling upon them
to discharge all aliens and itinerant
single men now employed on public
work. The purpose is to give the places
to men of famalies.preferably residents
of Spokane. It is also urged that the
council enact an ordinance, embodying
the requests. The petition points to
the fact that by employment of Ital
ians and other aliens, who have no in
terests in American institutions beyond
securing money to send to their native
homes, many residents arc deprived of
work. The reference to the dismissal
of unmarried men has already had its
effect, as more than a score of them
