A highly interesting whale hunt took place at Sand, on the west coast of Shetland, Scotland, recently, result ing in the capture of eleven whales. The whales were seen near the en trance to the bay, and boats Imme diately started In pursuit, the fisher men being armed with harpoons, lances and any weapons they could lay hands on.
