aying: "No cases of fever amon the
naval forces. Have been able today to
get some reliable information of the
situation among the citizens. There
are ten cases of fever under treatment
oy pnysicans, two of which are new
today. All but two arc children. Two
are reported with symptoms of the dis
ease.

The Critic says: ''Another bond call
may be made before the f 15,000,000
call just just issued matures, which will
be December 1st next. The nearest

with htm on the death of Mr. Faxon.

appointed assistant secretary of the
navy, becretary Chandler has ordered
a number of heads of bureau to attend
the funeral. The department will be
closed Friday afternoon, the day of the
burial, out of respect to the memory of
Mr. Faxon.
