About three o'clock this afteruoon Joseph Riter, of Council Bluffs, bat who has been in Sioux City for several months, shot his paramour, Minnie ilurdock, a prosti tute, in a bouse of ill fame known aa "The Grove,'' inflictiug a fatal wound in the head.
