day of last week and shipped a car of
walnut logs to Liverpool, England.

A cold wave struck us Wednesday
evening. Thero was a hard wind
blowing which made it very disagree
able, especially to those who had to bo
out of doors.

Mr. and Mrs. A. B, Royso and little
granddaughter, Verla -Herman, from
Western, Neb., are hero visiting Mrs.
Royse's sisters, Mrs. James F. Bennett
and John E. Lambert, and her brother,
J, W.Webber, and other friends. They
will remain about two weeks.
Johns Hoover's condition is about
the samo. He suffors soveroly aud is
quite Weak. The medicine is said to
bo working exactly as the doctor said
it would and seems to be killing the
can cor, as considerable of the cancereua
growth ia coming out. If he has the
strength to stand the sovoro treatment
it Is thought he will bo cured.
Mrs. Seeley, who for many years
lived with her son, O. C. Seeley, west
of Nemaha, died Wednesday night at
tho residence of her daughter, Mrs. Dr.
B. Bell Andrews, of Stella. The
body was brought to Nemaha Friday
and laid at rest by the side of her son.
The deceased was a christian lady and
highly respected by those who knew
her.
Eddie Yackley was fifteen years old
Thursday and his parents gave a party
in his honor at the Minick ball that
night, About seventyfivo invited
guests were present and all bad an en
joyable time playing ciokinolo and
other games. A large number of
handsome presents wero received, the
moat valuable being a good trunk' from
bis father and a watch from his uncle,
Frank Woodward Eddie will long
remember with pleasure his fifteenth
birthday.
