Taylor Gillespie has moved back to

Mrs. Wills, who has been visiting
Nemaha friends for some time, started
for her homo at Alliance Friday.
Mrs. S. T. Argabright and Miss
Lizzie Lewark went to Shubert Mon
day to vieit friends for a few dajs.
S. Gilbert has sold the seventy acre
farm in Aapinwall precenct formerly
owned by Mrs. Green Burgess to John
F Foy.
Elder Smith, of Nebraska City, was is
town Tuesday. The elder is now
preacher at Shubert every alternate
Sunday.
Rev. E. S. Murphy, of Auburn will
hold service at the Episcopal church
at Nemaha Sunday, Sept. 24th, at 11
o'clock a. m.

Samuel Allen had a stroke of paral
ysis Monday. On account of his feeble
condition aucl advancod age his recov
ery is doubtful.
H. T. Evans about three weeks ago
lost a memorandum or bill book con
taining valuable papers. Finder will

The Auburn Telephone company
have the poles set to Nemaha and in a
few days will have the wire stretched
and the line in operation.
The republican caucus for the nomi
nation of precinct officers will be held
at The Advertiser oftlce Saturday,
Sept 23rd, at 3 o'clock p. m .
J. D. Rainey, of Brown vlllo, and his
brother, Hal Rainey, of Omaha, drove
to Nemaha Wednesday evening and

Nemaha relatives aud friends last
week. They have been living at Dul
phus, Kansas, but were on their way
to University Place, Neb. Mrs. Shell
horn is a sister of L. H. Barnes.
Mrs. Alice A. Minick aud daugh
ter, JMise Pearl, arrived in Brownvilln
Thursday and will.probably naka their
home here in tho future, This paper
extends to them, on behalf of our
people, a cordial welcome to their old
home. Sun.
Next Sunday Rev. C. H. Gilmote
will preach his last sermon before con
ference. Mr. Gilmore has been on the
charge for four years, and it isthegeu
erul desire of the public to have him
returned for another year. There are

The republican primaries were held
at The Advertiser oftlce last Saturday.
The meeting was called te order by W.
W. Sanders, member of the central
committee. A motion was made and
carried that a committee of three be
appointed to select a list of nino dele
gnten. S. F. Bridge, Q. N. Titus and
W. S. Maxvell were appointed the
committee. After consultation the
committee handed in the fallowing list
of delegates: E J Maxwoll, F L Wood
ward, Earle Gilbert, Wm Ruasell, W S
Maxwell, Ed Morrinon, S F Bridge, Q
N Titus, Eugene Howe.
It was moved and curried that tho
secretary cast the voto of the primary
for the above delegates.
On motioH the primary adjourned
until Saturday, Sept. 23id, at 3 o'clock
p. m., when the precinct ticket will be
nominated.
