Tho Royal Neighbors Social Club will bo entertained Wednesday after noon by Mrs. Peter, whoso homo is in tho south part of town. Tho Indian Card Club will meet "Wednesday afterndon at tho homo of Miss Gcraldino Baro, who will bo as sisted in entertaining by Misses Irma Clinton and Kate Seyfcrth. Miss Betty Hinman entertained a number of girl friends Friday everting in honor of her guest Miss Printz, of Omaha. Enjoyable games made up a pleasant evening. Tho refreshments were delicious. Tho Coterie Club spent a delightful afternoon with Mrs. Guy Cover Friday. Card games were played and prizes won by Mesdumes James Guynan and Ernest Clouse. A nicely prepared lunch was served. Little Everett Hnrtman, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hnrtman, entertained a party of small friends Saturday afternoon. A merry time was had by all. A very dainty lunch was served and tho young gentleman received many pretty remembrances. Tilley, who has been employed in tho Hnrtman cigar factory for somo time has severed his connection with that Arm and moved to Illinois. From a Curtis paper it ia learned that some of the residents of tho south part of this county aro advocating county division. This is nothing now. County division has been advocated at times for thirty years past. In tho tennis games with tho Lexing ton players yesterday tho homo players lost till but one game, Munger and Armstrong winning fropi their oppon ents. Now, is not thnt mean of Davo? A. G. Carlson, of Gothenburg, who has been ill for some time in Phoonix, Ariz., died Sunday. Mr. Carlson was tho first member of tho local lodgo of Elks who was called to the great be yond since they organized hero six years ago, and his death islteonly felt by his many friends here and in his home town where he was known as a highly respected citizen. Tho funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon in Gothenburg and a number of local Elks will nttend among them Rev. Charles Chapman, Albert Schatz, Ed. Van Derhoof, Everett Evans, E. F. Tho thirty-six jurors reported for service this morning, theao jurors residing in this and the Bcvoral counties which composo tho North Plntto district. There are eighteen or twenty cases on tho docket, all of which aro of the law and equity nature, some four or fivo cases boing for tho cancellation of homestead patents, these cases being brought by tho government in vicjv of irregularities ascertained after tho entrymcn had made final proof on thoir claims. Gotch secured the first fall with a re verse body lock in 14 minutes nnd 18 1-5 seconds, the second fall required exact ly 5 minutes and 82 1-5 seconds. Ac cording to tho general comment Hack, entered the ring bentcn. He looked like a loser. Gotch was supremely confident nnd master of ,tho situation at every stage. Endurance Run Postponed. Tho endurance run of the Omaha Motor Club from that city to North Platto and roturn, which was scheduled for September 5th to 7th has been postponed to 12th to 15th. The change was made to avoid a conflict with the state fair dates, as many of tho mem bers want to enter their cars in the state fair races.
