A woman went into a newspaper of fice and wished to advertise for her husband who had disappeared. When told that they charged two dolllara an inch she went out, saying it would break her up at that rate as her hus band was over six feet long. One set handles the track from Grand Island to Lexington, the other from Lexington to North Platte. It seems as though it is harder to get trains over tho road since the stretches of double track have been placed in service than in the days of single track. Enginemen on tho Second district insist that there is a 'nigger in the wool pile" nnd that he will be uncovered when tho motive power officials meet in this city next week.
