AND VITALITY Platte Pharmacy. The Bryanites in the New York democratic state convention Wed ne6day were unseated, and Dave Dill and his followers had fult con trol. Thus is Bryanarchyfadlnc from sight in the cist. President Roosevelt has in- vitcd the coal barons and leaders of their striking employes to meet him at the White House today and have a heart-to-heart talk, The president hopes to be able to per Buade the opposing factions ,-to make concessions and thus end he strike. If endorsements Irom the papers and the 'people cut any fijure, Geo. C. McAllister, the republican can dtdatc for representative, will be elected by a lull thousand majority. McAllister is an honest, capable man, and will make a record ns a legislator that will be creditable to himself and his constituents, IT is amusing to hear the ftislon ists jibe Judge Kinkatd on Vus age, when he is at least fifteen years younger than liarry, the fusion candidate. Judge Ktnkaid, is a hale, hearty man, as is attested by the fact that he rode eighty miles across the prairies in a buckboard one day last week in the face oi a steady rain. As A. H. Davis, the republican candidate for county attorney, ha no opponent, he is not making a canvass of the county, but of court c solicits the votes of republicans and others when he meets them in town. Mr. Davis is an energetic man. a close student of law, and bis success iu the local courts is evidence of his ability as a lawyer, The fusionists are centering all their cajn pa ign work in .the Third commissioner district with a hope that they may be able to elect their candidate, Mr. McMichael. In this however, they will be.disappointcd, as all -indications point to the elec tion ,of the republican candidate. Chas. A. Glaze, by a good sized majority. Mr. Glaz; has been a resident of Lincoln county for fif teen or tweuty year?, is well known as a man of business ability and his integrity is unquestioned. It should be a pleasure for the voters of the Third district to support for office a man who has so' clean a record and so well fitted for the office as is Mr. Glaze. The hens of Lincoln countv have caught the strike fever and posi tively reiuse to do business As a result twenty cents per cUzen are asked and nearly all those Bold in town arc shipped in from stations down the road. These eggs cobI the merchant twentv cents a dozen laid down, so that he is supplyiug them to his customers at that price as matter of accomodation. The ladies of the Chribtian church will give a Hallowe'en Pes. tival during the afternoon and evening of October 30.
