So far this week they have not been so plentiful. Nearly all have more or less money, but nevertheless they do considerable begging for lood at private residences. The contracting car ot the Pan American circus came in from the west last night. This show will exhibit here on the altcrnoou and evening ol June 3d. Call County Convention. The republican county central ommittee held a meeting Saturday alternonn and selected Saturday, June 7th, as the date for holding lie county convention. At this convention delegates will be elected to the state, congrcs hional, senatorial and representa tive conventions', and a candidate nominated for county attorney and f ir county commissioner in the IMiird district. The Gothenburg Independent says that the prospects for winter wheat and rye in that neighbor hood arc the most flattering that that they have been in twenty years. The Sidney Telegraph says: stockmen trom all portions of the county report the heaviest losses of cattle for many years. No two agree as to the cause. One solution is that it is a poison weed the cattle eat on the ranges when the new grass is short. The stcckmen in Wyoming are familiar with the nature of the weed, but Cheyenne county ranchmen have never had to contend with it before.
