A Massachusetts man offers to prove by statistics that seven-tenths of the marriage engagements that are broken are broken by women; that three widowers remarry to one widow, and two wives elope to one husband. A merchant, after selling and using an article for years, knows something of its merits. Mr. W. D. Mr. Blaine did nothing of the sort. He alluded to the trust system merely to show that it flourished grandly in free trade England and consequently the existence of the system in this country could not be charged to the protective tariff. But if Mr. Blaine or any other Repub lican should favor the trust system, democrats have no license to object. Haven't they endorsed the Mills bill? Journal. Their Business Booming. Murphy in 1883 said to Grant: "General is there a better soldier in Europe to-day than our Sheridan?" Sau Jose Mercury: If Blaine should find it possible to visit the Pacific coast at this time, his ad vent would be welcomed with a blaze of glory which would cast its glow even to the farthest shores of thq Atlantic, and give a new impe tus' to the national campaign- in every part of the nation. New York Herald: What deary f olderol and nonsense all this stuff about Harrison's Chinese record is! It is the insane drivel of political idiocy, and has no more to do with the plain issue of the hour than whether the man in the 'moon is bald headed in consequence of do mestic infelicity. AN EXPLANATION. What is this "nervous trouble" with which so many now seem to bo afflicted? If you will re member a few years ago the word Malaria was comporatively unknown to-day it is as common as any word in the English language, yet this word covers only tho moaning of another word used by our forefathers in times past. So it is with nervous diseases, as they and malaria are in tended to cover what our grandfathers called biliousness, and all are caused by troubles that arise from a diseased condition of tho liver which in performing its functions finding that it cannot dispose of!hebile through the ordi nary channel is compelled to pass it off through the system, causing nervous troubles, maria, bil ious fever, etc. You whoaro suffering can well appreciate a cure. Wo recommend Green's Au gust Flower. Its cures are marvelous. San Francisco Call: JThere can be no doubt as to the views b General Harrison and President Cleveland on the Chinese question. General: juarnson is unequivocally in favor of their exclusion, while every act of President Clerejand's adminis tration has shown that he has trifled with the question. The modes of death's approach are various and statistics show conclusively that more per sons die from diseases of the throat and lungs than any other. It is probable that everyone, without exception, receives vast numbers of tu bercle germs into the system and where these germs fall upon suitable soil thoy start into lifo and dovelop, at first slowly and is shown by a slight tickling sensation in tho throat and if al lowed to continue their ravages they extend to the lungs, producing consumption and" to the head, causing catarrh. Now all this is dangerous and if allowed to proceed will in time cause death. At tho onset yon must act with promt ncss; allowing a cold to go without attention is dangerous and may lose you your lifo. As soon as you feel that something is wrong with your Throat, Lungs or Nostrils, obtain a bottle of Boschee's German Syrup. It will givo you im mediate relief. No. 3496.
