If your skin is sallow eyes dull, you are bilious, secure a box of Wil liams' Australian Herb Pills, take as directed, and the feeling of languor will leave you, your eyes brighten, and you are another woman. C, W. Price,Agent. " It is announced that a joint com mittee of members of the New York and Brooklyn Typographical Unions and Horace Greeley Post, G. A. R., are devising some means whereby a statue of Horace Greeley shall be erected in City Hall Par A site has been offered by the city, and the committee is now ready to receive subscriptions in aid of their object. How Men Die. If we know all the methods of approach adopted by an enemy we are the better enabled to ward off the danger and postpone the moment when surrender becomes inevitable. In many instances the inherent strength of the body suf fices to enable it to oppose the tendency toward death. Many, however, have lost these forces to 6uch an extent that there is little or no help. In other cases a little help to the weakened lungs will make all the difference between sudden death and many years of useful life. Upon the first symptoms of a cough, cold or any trouble of the throat or lungs, give that old and well known remedy Boschee's German Syrup, a care ful trial. It will prove what thousands say of it to be, the "benefactor of any home." At 76 Mr. Browning does not look to be much more than 40; nor act so. He goes everywhere and sees everything. Within a few days he went to the funeral of Matthew Arnold, to the Academy, the Grosvenor, and the New, to say nothing of numberless "At Homes.'' Mr. Browning nas no affections. Who is Your Best Friend. Your stomach' of course. Why? Becauso if it is out of order you are one of tho most miserable creatures living. Give it a fair honorable chance and see if it is not the best friend you have in the end. Don't smoke in the morning. Dont drink in the morning. If you must smoke and drink wait till your stomach is through with breakfast. You can drink more and smoke more in the even ing and it will tell on you less . If your food f evr mentfl and does not digest right, if you are troubled with Heartburn. Dizziness of the head, coming up of the food after eating, Biliousness, Indigestion, or any other trouble of the stomach, you had best use Green's August Flower, as no one can U6e it without immediate relief. "Miss Linda Gilbert," says the Boston Advertiser, " has established twenty-two libraries in the prisons of different States and found em ployment for 6,000 ex-convicts, and yet the name of the most pleasure- cnasing society woman in the coun try is made more familiar to the average newspaper reader than is that of Miss Gilbert." Matilda Joalvn fiacre, of Fayette- villft. N. Y has nptitioned Contrress for "the removal of her political disabilities, and that she may be de clared invested with full power to exercise her right of self govern ment at the' hallot box. all State constitutions or statute laws to .the. contrary notwithstanding. The Commercial Travelers' Protective Associa tion, of tho United States, has a membership of over sixteen thousand and is probably the strong est association of the kind in the world. Mr. JohnR. Stone, their Nat'l Sec'y andTreas.,79 Dearborn St., Chioage; in a letter states that he has been severely troubled at times, for the past twenty years, with cramp and bilious colic which would compel him to take to his bed from three to six days. While in St. Louis at their last nn nual meeting he procured a bottle of Chamber lain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoe Remedy and has since used it with the best results. It is the only remedy he ever found that eflected a rapid and complete cure. No one can safely travel without it. Sold by F. H. Longley. In order to win the coming elec tion the Democratic party must carry New York and two other doubtful states. The whole number of electorial votes is 401, and of this number the safe Democratic states, including West Virginia as such, furnish' 153. With New York alone with its thirty-six votes they would lack twelve votes, while if they should carry all the other doubtful states and lose New York they wotjjltaok eighteen votes. The doubtful states are: Connecti cut, with six electorial votes; Indiana, fifteen; New Jersey, nine; and New York thirty-six. With its sure 153 votes the Democratic party needs New York and Indiana or New York, New Jersey and Con necticut. In any event New York they must have, ss no combination in which that state is left out can win. Personal. Mr. N. H. Froblishstein, of Mobile, Ala., writes: I take great pleasure in reccommending Dr. King's New Discovery for Consumption, having used it for a severe attack of Bronchitis and Catarrh. .It gave me instant relief and en tirely cured me and I have not been afflicted since. I also beg to state that I had tried other remedies with no good result. Have also used Electric Bitters and Dr. King's New Life Pais, both of which I can reccommend. Dr. King's New iDiscovory for Consumption, Coughs and Colds is sold on a positive guaran tee. Trial bottles free at A. F. Streitz's Drug Store. 1 The Last Herd of Buffalo. Mr. Clinton A. Snowdon, of the Chica go Times, is the originator of a scheme to save bisons that still remain on the plains. It has been ascertained that of the millions, which once roamed on the prairie of the West only seventy-five or a hundred remain, and these are located in the extreme southwestern Dortion of Texas. An expedition is soon to start for Texas to round up these buffalo. The leading purpose is to perpetuate a species of animal which is thoroughly typical of American animal life; one of the control ling ideas of the trip being to kill none of the animals while corraling them or after their capture. News of the work of the expedition is to be ent to the Times by carrier pigeons. It is hoped this laudable expedition will succeed. It would seem as if con gress might do something to promote and encourage the preservation of this won derful breed of animals. Wonderful Cures. W. D. Hoyt & Co., Wholesale and Retail Drug gists of Rome, Ga.. Bay: Wo have been selling Dr. King's New Discovery, Electric Bitters and Bucklen's Arnica Salve for four years.
