You will never fully appreciate their conven ience until you have tried them. 6 William Grant of Lincoln, con sulting engineer of the Grant, Fulton & Letton company, which has the contract with the city for the storm and sanitary sewers, was in Alliance Wednesday, coming here from Ra venna to inspect the progress of the work. Mr. Grant left Wednesday evening, expecting to return within a few days. Eight years ago, Mr. Grant made the surveys and blue prints for the city's sanitary sewer, and at that time, having a vision of the growth that the city might ex pect, planned and made blueprints for tho storm sewer which is now be ing installed. He is greatly im pressed with the growth Alliance is making. Eight years ago, he pointed out, the land to the east of the big slough was not even surveyed. No one had any idea that the city would ever extend to it, but indications are that within the next year at least 150 houses will have been completed in that district.
