The war horse inspection held at
the stock yards In Alliance Tuesday,
May 29, was the most successful one
held in the city since this class of
sales started in the west. Both the
inspectors who composed the Inspec
tion board und the men who had the
horses for sale were pleased with re
sults. Reference to tlie advertisement of
the next sale, which is to be held on
June 12. will give the prices paid for
horses for use of the French army.
If you have horses to sell you are
urged to have them here for the next
inspection It promises to be equal
to the one held Tuesday.

M. E. Coleman, who has held the

dispatcher for the Burlington at Al
liance for several years, left Tuesday
noon for Casper, Wyo.. where he as
sumes the position of chief dispatch
er on the Casper division of this
railroad. Mrs. Coleman and son
Olen expect to Join him at Casper
after takitiK a pleasure trip to Oma
ha and Dead wood Casper will be
their permanent home.

chief dispatcher in a temporary ca
pacity. Mr Coleman has many
friends on the Alliance division who
regret to nee him and his family
leave, but who are gratified with his
deserved promotion.
