It. Crawford, princi pal of the high school and coach of the A. H. S. football squad, report the outlook good for the season'a campaign. Many of the stars of last year's lineup are in school again and there are a number of new men who give promise of being a great help to the team. Coach Crawford already has ten tative arrangements for gameB with Scottsbluff, Hot Springs and Chadron Normal. He also believes the A. H. S. will combat on the gridiron with Sidney and Bridgeport. Judging from the way the men are lining up for practice, there is but little doubt as to the favorable out come of the season's playing. If thorough coaching and enthusiastic training mean football victories, the Alliance high school is sure to win renown this fall. Thief Show Originality. Thieves are not common in Alaska, but when one does appear he general ly exhibits an originality of conduct difficult for less accomplished folks to comprehend. As an Instance of this characteristic a thief broke into a stor" at Douglass recently and Btole all the 1916 tags provided for licensed dogs, thus subjecting every canine In town to the danger of being taken up by the dog catcher. Don't send out of town for your typewriter paper, ribbons, carbon pa per and other office, supplies. The, w Herald carries a good stock of fresh " goods at all times.
