After two and a half years' negoti
ation after repeatedly advertising for
and rejecting proposals, on Monday,
October 23, the contract was signed
between the Alliance National Bank
and the Postofflce department where
by the bank agrees to erect a two-
story brick building, 25x90 feet, on
the unoccupied part of Its lot. facing
north on Wyoming avenue which
will (n reality be an extension to the
present bank building. The expen
diture by the bank will amount to
upwards of $10,000.
Mr. Bert Van Nice, the popular
clerk In McCluer'a store, was married
at Hastings to Miss Minnie C. Kohl
by.
Monday evening occurred the mar
rlage of Mr. Charles Brown and Miss
Eliza Serena Bell, Rev. J. M. McCon
noll, of the United Presbyterian
church, officiating.
Herman T. Lund was united in
marriage to Miss Laura May Curry
