Modern Clothes for Men ARE PLAYING BALL I be Box Butte County Sunday School Athletic Association Starts off with Two Good (aaraes The new Sunday school athletic Association started off Monday after j&oon with a game at the ball grovnds la the city park between the Chris tian and Methodist Sunday schools. Batteries for the Christian team -were Anderson and Butler, and for' Ibe Methodist team were Edwards' atnd Smith. The game went to the Christians by a score of 23 to 6. A game was played Wednesday af- ttmoon between the Baptist and -ffetbodist school teams. The Bap- lists won by a score of 14 to 8. Camp-! tell and Bicknell were batteries for! fce Baptist and Edwards and Smith or the Methodist. There will be a double-header next Saturday afternoon at the ball grounds in the city park. HOUSEWARMING AT BANKS' SUGCESSFUL SALE Greatest Rural Social Event Ever Held in This Part of the State An event that will long be remem bered by people in and around Alli ance was the old fashioned "house warming" at the home of G. Nothing short of superlatives can describe the event. 300 invitations had been sent out, and it is estimat ed that there were not more than a dozen who did not respond. Every thing had been prepared for the oc casion, and the guests were made to feel perfectly at home as soon as they had arrived. Many Alliance people were among the guests, mak ing the trip in automobiles. At about midnight, the refreah ments were served and such re freshments as they were! The event was conducted in a strictly informal fashion, the lunch (if it could be called a lunch) being served in cafe teria style.
