Hold Meeting to Discus" the Erection of a Permanent Home Haswell, Colo., Dec. 14 A build ing to serve as a permanent home for the Women's Booster Club of Haswell Is being advocated here. The question has been taken up serious ly, and the plans of the proposed building have been submitted to contractors for estimates. The Women's Club and the Com mercial Club held a Joint meeting, at which time the erection of a bulld- ng to provide quarters for the two rKimlzntions, and to serve as a town hall, was discussed. The proposition Is generally fav ored here, and it is considered cer- aln tha tthe plans will be carried ut so that the building can be made ready for occupancy early next year. Rocky Mountain News. 1,230,000 Men Available In Germany and Austria A list that appeared recently In the daily press about the German and Austro-llungariun reserve troops of ,250,000 is very incomplete; It dis regards that in Germany as well as in Austria-Hungary the untrained landsturm has not been called In t all or only to a very insignificant extent. Even though a great num ber of men belonging to the untrain ed landstrum are among the volun teers, yet It must be considered that from reliable estimates the number of untrained landsturm men between the ages of 20 and 45 Is at least 7, 000,000 men. The great majority of these volunteers have the words Landsturm with weapon" written on their military papers must be re garded as Immediately eligible for service. The minority which is des ignated as "Landsturm without wea pon" are liable for service In the con necting troops behind the lines, or for other military purposes. The number of Austro-Hungarlan Lanrlsturtn men not yet called out is estimated at 6,000,000 men, thus bringing up the total for the two countries to 12,000,000 men liable to be drilled. Deducting from this amount part of the number of volun teers not yet in the ranks and be longing to the landsturm, totaling about 2,000,000 men in Germany and Austria together, we will have, in addition to the first mentioned figure of 4,260,000 men, a reserve LEGAL ADVERTISING SHERIFF'S SALE By virtue of an order of sale dir ected to me from the Clerk of the District Court of Box Butte County, Nebraska, on a Judgment obtained before the District Court of Box Butte County, Nebraska, on the 6th day of May, 1914. said Court render ed a decree in favor of Edson W.
