V7 CLOSES BIG LAND DEAL Alliance Land Man Makes Long Trip and Purchases 17 Quarters of Box Butte Land J. C. McCorkle, head of the Ne braska l.tnd company of Alliance, returned Friday noon from a four teen days' trip through eastern Km sas, Nebraska, South Dakota aad western Iowa. He went first to Be loU, Kansas, then to Sioux City, la., then to Yorkton, 8. D., then te Tripp, S. D., back to Sioux City w4 borne to Alliance, stopping off at O n Nihil. On the trip Mr. McCorkle sole a quarter section of Box Butte ooualy land, and he, with Sioux City pwrV tea, purchased 17 quarter section of land in this county. The land pur chased is suitable for irrigation fcy pumping. It will be placed on the market before spring. Bach quarter will be equipped with & pumping plant before being sold.
