PREMIUM WALL CHARTS ARRIVE
Ths Hsratd's Beautiful Three Leaf
Charts Rssdy for Distribution.
Before the federal census was ta
ken. The Herald ordered a quantity
of three-leaf Wall Charts to be used
as presents to subscribers who pay
for their paper in advance. The
Chaxta contain a good deal of useful
information which includes a map of
the world on one page, a map of
the United State on another, a
county map of Nebraska on first
page, and on the back of the first
leaf the complete census report of
1910 for this state. On account of
the last named feature the Chart
could not be completed until after
the census for Nebraska had been
made public, which Herald readers
know was only a few weeks since, al
though It waa supposed it would be
completed and ready for publication
nearly six months ago.
But "all things come to him that
waits," and these Wall Charts are
auch beauties they were worth wait
ing for. While they last they will
be given to subscribers who pay In
advance. If you want one you had
better hurry up. We don't expect,
them to last long.
Subscribers who have paid ahead
and are entitled to them are re
quested to call at The Herald office,
if convenient to do ao.
BAPTI8T DAY
Next Sunday will be observed in
all the Baptist churches in the Unit
ed States as Baptist Day. All who
would be interested in a sane and
strictly informal discussion of Bap
tist belief are invited to come to our
church next Sunday.
In the morning the pastor will
preach on "What Baptists Believe"
and in the evening on "What Bap
tists have done for the world."
The Boy Scouts will meet at the
lehurch at 5 o'clock Sunday after
noon. Come thou with us and we will do
thee good.
Mrs. F. L. Parsons, Cholr-dlrector.
FRANKLIN McNEILL, Pastor.
Since buying out the F. N. Wal
lace dray and transfer, John Gar
rett has been getting along fine in
his new line of work. Frank V;tl
lace continues his connection with
the business as an employe, which
is a great help to the proprietor in
handling their large traffic.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Reed of Des
Moines, Iowa, uncle and aunt of Miss
Delia M. Reed, have been visiting in
Alliance for the last two weeks.
They have many friends In this coun
ty and will continue their stay here
for some time yet.
H. H. Frailer returned to Alliance
Tuesday from Texas, where he has
been for a few months past.
C. P. Barr, a Sioux county ranch
man and locater, living twenty miles
south of Harrison, was in Alliance
on business last week. He informed
the Herald that grass and crops were
good in his locality at that time,
notwithstanding the dry weather.
Mrs. Eva Thompson, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. E. I. Oregg, left last
night for Utah, after a two months'
visit in this city. Her home was
formerly In Wyoming, but Mr.
Thompson, who is a railroad man,
having secured a lucrative position
in Utah, she will join him there and
they will make their home In that
state. Their many friends who are
readers of The Herald will be pleas
ed to learn that they are pleasantly
situated in their new home.
Dr. James P. Maxfield, who pur
chased Dr. A. Oalser's dental office,
has "made haste slowly" in opening
for business for the simple reason
that he wanted to have his office
thoroughly equipped with modern ap
pliances and in the best possible
shape for dental work before asking
for the same. For over two weeks
he has been busy remodeling the
office and installing electrical appli
ances, so that he now has a thor
oughly modern, up-to-the-minute den
tal establishment. Being now thor
oughly equipped for work, he orders
his professional card published in
The Herald,, which readers will find
on first page of this Issue.
A Charming Woman
is one who is lovely in face, form,
mind and temper. But it's hard for
a woman to be charming without
health. A weak, sickly woman will
be nervous and irritable. Constipa
tion and kidney poisons show In
pimples, blotches, skin eruptions and
a wretched complectlon. But Elec
tric Bitters always prove a godsend
to women who want health, beauty
and friends. They regulate Stomach,
Liver and Kidneys, purify the blood;
give strong nerves, bright eyes, pure
breath, smooth, velvety skin, lovely
complection and perfect health. Try
them. 50c at F. J. Brennan's.
