The Herald scribe1 bad the pleasure of taking dinne r with him at Dismer's Cafe and a good visit talking over western Nebraska past and present. J. W. Moore, the barber, has one of the? neatest shops to lie found any where, In the building formerly oc cupied by the Herald, next door to O'Kjefe's land office. In addition to class work, which will be illustrated by atereoptlcsn views, Prof. Bengston will give us an even ing lecture which will also bo illus trated. THe people of Alliance should make the lowest price possible to tent heia for rooms this summer. Ti ..chers draw no salaries during the summer months and during the school year their salaried are not largo and they cannot afford to pay fan ;f prices for room and board. The Junior Norma dining hall will fur nish board at actual cost. YEOMEN ADOPTION The Yeomen met last Friday night in their hull and voted in 42 niem beis, 20 being present for adoption. Tho work was put on by assistant Btatc manager C. E. Matteaon, as sisted by district manager C. A. Ham rick. After the crremony the Reds wno were defeated by the Greens en tertained at a dainty two coursa lun cheon which was followed by "toasts" and "roasts", conducted by Prof. Q. M. Bums, toast master.
