John Feagle. Who Lived Near Bern

Kansas City, Dec. 13. A bloody
pair of overalls and shirt were tound
by Chief ol Police Zimmer in the
home of John Feagle, under arrest in
connection with the murder on the
Bernbsrtl farm, in Johnson county,
Kansas The bloody garments were
concealed in a closet on the second
floor of Feagle's house.
Mrs. Feagle could not explain the
presence of the bloody clothes in her
home-. She said she did not know to
whom they belonged, and she was un
able to stat.' what kind of clothing
her husband wore lust Wednesday.
It developed that Feagle had Quar
reled with the Iternhards about the
boundary line between their farms
and that this difference was more seii
ous than a quarrel he admitted hav
citg with them about hunting.
The officers declare that Feagle is
little deaf, which discredits his
statement that he heard cries of dis
tress at the Hernhard home Wednes
day night when he was at bis home a
halt mile away.
Feagle is a hunter and trapper,
whose home is a half mile west of ttie
lorsksN farm, where Mrs. Emily
Heir-hard, (ieorge lUttibard, her son;
T. II. Morgan and James Craves were
murdered 1 He told conflicting stories
regarding his relations with the Hern
