All were glad to sec Delia back again. J. E. Wilson shipped a car load of horses from here to Knoxvlllc, Iowa, Sunday night. C. E. Clough, jr., shipped two ear loads of cattle from hore Sunday night. W. Q. Wilson made ti trip to Alliance Thursday. The Christian Endeavor will give a Thanksgiving supper for the benefit of tho preacher at the school house. Sup per will consist of turkey, chicken, pumpkin pie and other good things too numerous to mention. All are invited. A. S. Gerdes, John Gcrdes, Mr. Jud- son and Mr. Sheldon shipped cattle last Saturday. John Gerdes went with tho car. A snow storm Wednesday which, if an old saying is "true, means wo will have eighteen buow storms this winter. A moving picture entertainment was given at Marplo, November 4, which was well attended. The Seven-Day-Advents aro holding revival meetings at Marple. Tho meet ings aro being well attended and will continue for about two weeks. M. Brennen took his cattle homq from the Billing ranch Saturday. Box Butte precinct went republican on the state ticket, but democratic on tho county and precinct ticket. CANTON CULLINGS. The Baptist church was moved this week from Marsland to Canton with good success. Mr. Sherwood of Hera ingford superintended tho work. Tho church was placed qd the west side of Main street. It required fourteen teams and eight wagons to haul tho building to the present site. There was only one break down which detained the pro gress of the work for about a half day. As we nearcd Canton there were quite a number of tho good people who mot us at noon and spread a good dinner, to which all diif justice. Quite a num ber of buggies and carriages and ladies and gentlemen on horseback camo out to welcome us into tho city. Quite a number of our citizens were in Alliance Wednesday. Among them were .lohn Moravek and his daughter, Miss Mary, James Kennedy and wife, William Roth and George Zimmerman. Scott Hood was in Dawes county Monday for a load of barley. Charles W. Lockwood was in Mars land Monday for a load of lumber and brick. J. W. Broshar hauled a load of fine cabbage from the irrigated garden of G. E. Zimmerman Wednesday. C. W. Lockwood was in llemingford Wednesday for a load of dry goods, groceries and other notions for his store at Canton, Andrew 'Tschachor and Mr. Bruce have gone east to husk corn this win ter. Mrs. Tschncher will be with her parents during Mr. Tschachcr's ab sence. Mrs. Lizzie Bright, who has been keeping house for George Zimmerman, is visiting with her father and mother at Council Bluffs, Iowa, at this writing. J. W. Broshar was in llemingford Friday for four barrels of fine apples which Mrs. Broshar's father had sent them from Paris, Illinois, Notice.
